Certified Appraisers

Certified Appraisers are trained and certified to perform BD‑CMM appraisals as licensees of the BD-Institute. Through our Certified Appraisers, the BD-Institute provides the highest quality business development professionals to help BD‑CMM users verify the maturity levels of their organizations through independent appraisal. Under the direction of BD-Institute, Certified Appraisers adhere to high professional standards and the BD-Institute's code of professional conduct.

They are experts in the use of BD‑CMM appraisal tools and related methodologies.
They receive ongoing guidance in planning, conducting, interpreting, and reporting BD‑CMM results.
They assist BD‑CMM adopters to understand the maturity of their business-development operations and appropriate capability growth paths.

A limited number of Certified Appraisers are available currently across the USA. In addition, additional appraisers are being prepared to serve the USA, and appraisers in the UK and India will complete their certification by mid-2007. Those currently certified to deliver BD‑CMM appraisals are as follows:

Charlie Divine, Osage Beach, MO
Mr. Divine was chairman of the BD‑CMM Steering Committee and has spent more than 40 years as a business development professional.

Howard Nutt, Phoenix, AZ
Mr. Nutt led the development of the BD‑CMM and has an extensive background in business development process design and development.
